Being a designer and working long hours on the screen I can say that eye strain was a problem that I faced everyday. There was a constant irritation, dry eyes, and some light pain that made focus hard, more so towards the close of the day. As I have come across blue light glasses, I wanted to try them out since I was looking for something that would alleviate these problems.
In the beginning, I wasn’t completely sure if anything as simple as wearing lenses would help that much. Well, in the first week of using them, I could feel changes in my body. After very long designing periods, my eyes would not feel that much tired and the frequency of the headaches started to decrease. I could go late into the night working without that fatigue in the eyes that slowed everyone day and this was particularly useful when it was crunch time.
Something that I wasn’t expecting at all has changed for the best – it is the way I sleep. Initially, I dread falling asleep after work which in most cases finds me working very late in the night only to come against these problems.
Use of screens during the night hours disturbs the normal production of melatonin, but wearing the glasses definitely helped to calm me down more quickly. I’d highly recommend giving them a try and feel the comfort of reading, focusing on details use your eyes with full potential without any sort of disturb. They’ve certainly helped me work better and feel better.
